The wife and I spotted our first POD in the wild today.  She (or he) was heading north on Hwy 87 between Spring Lake (Ft. Bragg, NC) going toward Greensboro.  It was not wild however because it was attached to the back of a moving vehicle---who was it?

We were returning from our Memorial Day/Birthday outing at Thousand Trail in Advance, NC.  It was a great trip of camping and kayaking although I doubt we will return.  There was as distinct smell of sewage and the campground was in terrible disrepair.  We are glad we are not members of the Thousand Trails Club because we would be asking for an immediate refund.  We had a fantastic time nonetheless.  Her parents went along and we found the 173T to be plenty roomy for four.  Don't know if it would do very well with the claimed "sleeps six" but four was not an issue.  Please see the attached pictures and the sign her father got us for my birthday----  Pod-on!!!!

Hey!  I know where Spring Lake is!  I lived there during my high school years.  I went to Pine Forest High School for a while.

Love the sign.  Nice gift.  I have not seen another Pod on the street or camped yet but I always look for them!

I was driving in NC over the weekend, but the other direction.  I definitely agree.  I would have a hard time sleeping even 5 in the pod.  Maybe they count the r-dome as a spot for the other 2.

I have never seen a Pod in the wild, anywhere.  Even on the way to and from the ERU.  Amazing.
