the small button that activates the tv/radio amplifier will not stay engaged when I push it in. It immediately pops out and the amplifier is not engaged. It does amplify and work as long as I hold the button in. I have temporarily made a foam wedge that will hold it depressed.

I have seen that the entire plate is replacable for $25.

Has anyone else had this problem or replaced or repaired the entire plate( tv cable male connection, cable male connection and amplifier button)?

Thanks
Vann

I've not looked to see what's behind the plate, but I would not be adverse to popping the plate off to see what might be involved in replacing the switch. If it is soldered onto a circuit board you will likely have to find an almost-exact match. Otherwise you might be able to put in a replacement switch.

I replaced mine for very same failure. Took about 20 minutes and as I recall I had to hardwire the 12V. I didn't try to repair the switch.
