Just completed our first trip in our 2016 R-Pod 179.  We didn't go far from home base, just 60 miles or so to the Great Sand Dunes NP in Colorado. We camped nearby at the Sand Dunes Pools, in a full (E & W) hookup site, one of 10.  Very nice at $30 per night, and the hot springs pools were wonderful.  The trailer proved to be comfy and well laid out.  The entertainment system and outdoor speakers were great.  I hooked up my iPod to bluetooth and grooved on the sounds.  We made dinner in the galley, and here's one gripe with the layout; could really use an opening vent or something near the stove.  We cooked a chicken dish, and the smoke alarm kept on firing off.  I did open the vent in the head and put the exhust fan on, and that helped.  Has anyone out there fitted a vent around the stove area?  All and all, a nice camp out near home and a good initial checkout of the rig.  Now to winterize the thing.......

We've had that too and found that leaving the fantastic fan in the bathroom on high and the door cracked open when frying on the stove solves the smoke alarm problem.

Change out your detector to a photoelectric detector if it is not already.

We have set that fire alarm off numerous times!    the fan on high does work well.

+1 to Shane's response.  We have not had that as we have windows next to our stove on the 177.  But yes to the fantastic fan as it is used more for venting as we cook or to keep the humidity down on cold nights (vent open, fan off) than for its intended purpose in the bathroom.
