just got it last month , pulls nice with our 2016 Chevy Colorado Diesel

one thing I cannot find is how to connect up a DISH tailgate setup and where you put the receiver
I see the satellite connection on the outside and the one on the inside but how to you wire it ?

We bought our 189 3 weeks ago and have made two weekend trips.  Loving our 189. I have the same question regarding satellite hook up. I have also wondered what the on off switch on the coax receptacle in the bedroom does?

That is the antennae booster for standard/air t.v., and the radio. If you try to watch t.v. or listen to the stereo with it off, you will most likely get very poor reception. Remember to shut it off when you're done, it's a battery killer if your not plugged in.

It is an antenna booster. Boosts all.

Your in good company! Picked up our 189 a couple of weeks ago. Been busy doing mods and finding places to store things.

Shelf over the bed, added a 12 v plug with 2 USB ports just right of the fusebox. Momma needs her fan.
This morning it is small storage mods for the bath.

To answer your question about satellite dish connection, the RPOD comes prewired for satellite.  What that means is there is an outside socket to attach a satellite antenna.  The cheapest Dish network antenna is the tripod kit (which you have to aim) for $130 on Amazon.  Then you need to get the receiver (the cheapest is the Wally $80 on Amazon) This plugs into one of the two coaxial connectors outlet near the TV.  One is for cable the other is for satellite.  The you connect the receiver to the TV.  You can get fancy and connect to the stereo instead if you want to play sound through those fabulous on board ceiling speakers instead of the TV.  Then you can get a pay as you go subscription for DISH network which starts at $35 a month and stop and start anytime.  We think we will get this when we start doing long trips.  It may be more reliable than getting a wifi booster and attempting to get  TV from internet apps.  Since the prewired is just a cable either DISH or Direct TV will work.
