Hello my husband and I purchased are 179 about one year ago. We have been having so much fun, if only we didn’t have to work.
I have already made several modifications to our little piece of heaven inspired by other post I’ve seen in this forum.
I have added a shelf over the bed, added shelving in the closet space, extended the drawers under the sink, and I am currently taking out the bathroom sink and we have a new window for the door waiting to go in.
I have many many questions about other modifications I am itching to do my husband and I are looking forward to all the help from this forum
TIA!! Cheryl

Welcome to the group! We got ours back in 2016 (also an RP179), and have had a lot of fun with it.

Welcome and congratulations! We bought our 2016 RP179 in December, 2015and have made a number of trips with it. Modifications started as soon as we got it (shelf over bed) and continue through the latest (table and dinette cushion modifications). I'm working on version 2.0 of my homemade slide-out cover and am almost done with it. God willing, we will leave next month on another trip out west to see our daughters and families as well as fulfill a long-time dream of getting to Yellowstone.

It sounds like you have already had some fun trips. I wish you many more and the making of many great memories as you travel this great land in which we live.

Congrats! We tried to extend the top drawer under the sink on our 2016 179, but the drain trap was in the way. We did add drawers in the corner cabinet to make better use of that odd-shaped space.

Glad to have you aboard!  We have received a lot of great advice and help on this forum over the years.  Excited to do our 1st camp out with our 177 this weekend.  Only going to be 45 degrees for the high, and being on Lake Michigan in northern Michigan I doubt if it will even make 40, however, after our outdoor activities we can be guaranteed that it will be cozy, dry, and warm inside.  Continue to enjoy your 179.

I wanted to extend all three drawers under the sink but like you, found that the drain interfered with extending the top drawer. I was able to extend the lower two which helped with storing things. When I re-did the wardrobe drawers, I not only extended them, but made them deeper. I will someday re-do the kitchen drawers to make them deeper also which will help keep things confined as we bounce down the road.
