We just got home from our first trip of the year.  We spent a week at Ft. Massac State Park in Metropolis. IL.  This was our third time camping there at this time of the year.  Dar is a quilter, and this campground is just across the Ohio River from Paducah, KY.  Last week was Quilt week and the largest quilt show in the country.  This year we had to dig the Pod out of the snow in the morning when we left Wisconsin, and set up in 75 degree weather that evening.  I de-winterized the Pod at the site.  The week was great, the Pod was great and I am ready to go again.

FWIW as in all years since we bought our Pod (March of 2011) everything worked as expected.  No failures, no scares, no bouncing or swaying.  The fridge worked on Propane and on electric.  Our converter worked flawlessly.  Water pump and heater did as they always have.  Nothing leaked.  We just enjoyed having our little cottage there for us and focused on the area.

We did have an interesting neighbor, but he will be the subject of another post.

LOL.. waiting for the next post..

If you ever want to try a different CG in the area, come on across the river to Columbus Belmont SP.. Fantastic SP, civil war battlefield/fort/museum... about 40 minutes south of Paducah.. RIGHT on the Mississippi..
