So you have one piece that goes from the front of the Pod back to the wheel well and a 2nd piece that goes from the wheel well to the rear of the Pod? |
Yes, that's right. With a slot for the step. I can take photos next time we set it up and share them with you. Someone else may have theirs handy though before I can do that.

We did not have to cut our skirt, just ran it behind the wheel. Seems to work just fine.
We did cut the slot for the step and edged the slot with duct tape so it would not fray or stretch. The little bit of extra screening on the end of the trailer we tuck outward to fill in any gaps at the bottom of the dome corner.

I did try running it behind the wheel but the distance between where the rear track begins and the wire casing I mentioned is only maybe 1/2 inch and the rubber glide just doesn't seem to want to bend like that. Is it maybe a matter of rerouting the wire for the running light?

we just put ours up on our 179. 35 minutes. Most of it was adjusting and re-adjusting. Any ideas on the suction cups or something better? They dont stay on very well. Trying to get it tight enough for mosquito control. We have tried folding the edge inside at the front and wrapping the dome edge around the rear of the trailer. That seems a little better. Any ideas on that? Thanks.

I found the suction cups work best if you're not making the dome too tight. I personally don't think the dome can ever be 100% bug-proof, but it does help. I found on the 179 that a good fit is for the center pole to be just to the right of the outside light. That way, the front edge attaches just in front of the window, and the rear edge wraps around at attaches on the rear, as bearclaw68 stated. I'll get some pics up of my latest attempt at making it work.

Just done fooling with the rdome on our 179. Made some headway making it bug proofier. I took some of the kids swim tubes, those round spaghetti looking things they play with in the pool. About 4" round 4ft long. They're kinda sticky and you can form them from inside the dome and fill the cracks along the edges where the suction cups leave a gap. Regular 3" foam strips would probably work as well. The swim things are just sticky enough that they almost stay by themselves, and they bend around the curves. I'd post pictures but i'm too stupid.
