In the past I have never (well, once to be honest) carried, yet have had the license to do so (my state no longer requires the permit). Still have no reason to, but love the liberty to do so, if required.

As I travel, as I've learned, black powder handguns may no fit into the Firearm ruling..

Curious how many do. And with what, where.

I am a true believer in having and never using, vs not and wishing I had.

Really do hoe this does not raise a sh%t storm, but a conversation.

I do travel with a firearm observing all laws of every state I'm in, I do have a license and permit, always ensure I am completely legal and I also am insured. I'm very aware of state laws and those states that honor my license and permit. I believe it is within my right to protect my self, my family and my property. To be very honest I do not enter states that do not allow me that right.

I think this topic has as much to do with rpods as abortion, gay marriage, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. Many of us here enjoy the absence of these topics from this forum, regardless of our views on the subjects.

I'll put the "Official Poo Poo" on the matter and ask for no more posts. This is one of those subjects that individuals tend to have strong personal feelings about (yea/nay).

Sorry folks.

Pull a chair up to the campfire and chat. No religious, political or weapons talk, please.

My apologies if offended by my question.

I ask only for advise among the community of those that do.

I am very confident that the OP is sincere and asks a valid question. However, this is one of the few things we just don't address here in the (public area of the) forum. If there are those who would like to help/answer, there is always the Private Mail function.

To give a clue to my PERSONAL position - I had just returned home from a gun and knife show, when I saw the post (no kidding). However, the forum does not operate on my personal beliefs. The rules are there for all and have been so since "day one".

We try to be as free/open as possible but, there are a few minimal restrictions. Perhaps the Facebook group is OK with this subject matter? (I don't do Facebook). Certainly, the many firearms forums, on the web, would be a good resource.

Again, I think the question is valid but, this just isn't the right venue/platform for the subject matter.

There are plenty of chances these days to disagree about politics.  I really prefer this to not be one of those places.

Thank you David for putting this topic to rest.  This forum is not the place to discuss it.
