Hello everyone.  My wife, Annie, and I recently completed a week-long trip from Portland, Oregon along the northern CA coast and through the redwoods in our new 179.  Our goal was to learn all the systems before winterizing the trailer in Bend, Oregon and flying back to our home in Alaska.  The 179 towed like a dream on narrow and winding roads.  By the end of the week our nervousness was gone, and we look forward to a longer springtime adventure.  Thanks, all, for the useful information you post on the forum.  Bill Janes from Juneau, AK.

Glad to hear you had a grand time on your first shakedown journey.  We hope to visit Bend in the near future, a beautiful area in the Cascades.  Sounds like you might have beat the snow your way?  We are getting snippets of it here the the ground temps are still warm enough to melt it away.  What is the weather like in Juneau right now?

Hello Jim and Diane from Kewadin.  In answer to your question, the snow is flying and the wind is howling as I sip my early morning coffee.  I chuckle as I think of the comedy of errors as we winterized the Rpod for storage in Bend, home of three of our grandkids.  I went through substantially more anti-freeze than needed when I left the low point drains open.  The anti-freeze manufacturer may see a spike on their sales graph for November 2017.
