I have gotten reasonably good at dumping the black tank. However, the sewer hose support is a big pain in the neck. I have the usual 'slinky' type from Camping World that extends out from a high end to a low one. Maybe because the r-pod is so low, there always seems to be a low point that forces me to raise the hose up multiple times so it'll drain completely.

Is there a better system??

I am thinking of the 'Easy Slider' -

Most times I see people using the "slinky" (some call them "slunky") supports. They will go farther than your slider (some up to 20'), and they allow the hose to meander toward the drain.

With all of the reports of the grey/black tank pipes coming loose I would not want to put any further weight on them.  It looks like Easy Slider hangs onto it adding weight so I would not recommend it.  The problem we find is that most sewer outlets are 4-6 inches above the ground.  With the low clearance of the RPOD valves it is impossible even with supports to get a perfect gradation.  At the end of cleaning there is always fluid left in the hose line and we have to lift it at the RPOD and literally walk it down to clear.  Only once we had a site that was downhill and flush with the ground so everything emptied by itself.  Also we found out that the RPOD does not clean out after using the flush.  For the last clean out of the season we used a toilet wand last.  We thought everything was clean after 2-3 fills with the black water flush (which takes forever to get full).  But once we started using the wand in the toilet more stuff came out.  We filled the tank 3-4 more times through the toilet until it finally was clean.

Is the toilet wand easy to use? How big is it?
Thanks

I have to agree with Rich and Cindy that unfortunately too many campground sewer connections are to low to the ground and our RP outlet are also to low in my opinion. So we end up doing what I call the sewage walk, not the most appealing stroll to say the least but if done right not to bad. I use to think our Pods sewer connections were the worse until a friend came to visit with us in his new Gulf Stream BT Cruiser motor home and when I looked at his sewer connection outlet I said yikes! It's so low he has to carry extra sewer outlet caps because he's always loosing them on bumps in the road and it knocking them off! Yes, it also may take two or three flushes to get the black water tank drained where the sensors are showing it drained. I have found a couple black water flushes and its adequately cleaned. Sure I've also flushed the tank three or four times since I have a sewer connection at my home and still see a very minimum amount of sewage residue. Its all a matter of how clean do you want the tank I suppose? I was going to make a very bad pun but I won't. LOL

The toilet wand is about 15 inches long and connects to a hose.  It has a switch so you can turn the spigot on but close it at the wand.  Then comes the hardest part getting it to the toilet.  Since water hookups are usually on the left side we have to open the window above our sink and bring the hose in that way.  Then we turn off all water in the RPOD so that we can open the toilet flush without having water enter the toilet.  Then we lower the wand into the toilet making sure it goes all the way in otherwise water will splash up.  Then we turn the water on and just rotate the hose.  The wand has four opening at the bottom pushing water sideways.  It really hits all of the tank with pretty good pressure.  You can wash with the valve open or since I am usually alone when I do it I close the valve and run it until it fills up. Then I shut the water off and go outside and open the valve.  Like I said earlier  it took me three or four times to really get it clean even though I already cleaned it out using the black water flush.  When done I take some paper towels to dry the wand as I pull it out of the toilet so as not to drip anything back in the RPOD.  I also found that Scotts single ply toilet paper is better than the marine/RV types as it dissolves better.  We did get blockages and false readings on the panel lights when using CAMCO toilet paper.  There is an interesting video on YouTube comparing toilet paper and clearly Scotts dissolves totally while others did not

Thanks for the information I will check it out. The last thing I want is to have black water problems. We have been lucky so far

FYI I attended a large RV show yesterday and had a interesting conversation with the owner of a large RV dealership who sold me my RP. He told me something I have never thought of when draining your black tank that made allot of sense. He said what he does is when he going to dump his blank tank he tops it off with water. Filling it or nearly filling the tank with water before he opens the blank tank valve. According to him the extra water helps with flushing out the tank which makes allot of sense to me. Of course he also cautioned that you don't over fill the black tank with water.

Pretty standard - I always fill black tank to 2/3rds before dump. The extra water does assist. You'll see that advice everywhere.

Just a BTW - I also moved my black water flush to the drivers side, with a check valve to permit water in one direction. I can use the black water flush from the city water connection to fill and flush the black tank, all on same side of TT.
