Hello, r-Poders!  My wife and I are new owners of a 2014 178, and we're pretty excited about taking it out.  We've been cleaning it up, fixing loose bits, etc.  These trailers always seem to need something.  Anyway, I'm Scott, and I'll be poking around here looking for tips and ideas for our rig.

First off,  I don't know how it happened, but the front edges of the rock protection plate have separated from the frame--the curved strips on the very front outside edges that meet the bottom edge.  You can see a definite gap, and the screws have stripped clean out--well, a few anyway, and the bottom strip has dropped a little as well.  I can post a pic later, but does anyone have suggestions on the best way to repair?  I'm pretty bummed  as we haven't even camped in it one night!  It seems like the plate and whatever it's attached to are under some tension, so that's a concern.  Right now, I can only imagine bigger, longer, fatter screws and then some sealant when I'm done.  Has anyone dealt with this problem?

Thanks! I look forward to lurking and posting.

Scott

Thanks, Leo!

Here's a pic of my problem.  I'll post on another category, too:

Looks like some sort of impact damage. If there is a Forrest River repair station anywhere around they could at least give you advice on the repair and/or fix it for you.
