HI everyone,

I am just in the planning of stages of going on the road for at least a year. My house goes on the market at the end of this month, I am scheduled to see a few 2015/16 r-pods this weekend.

I have dreamed of doing this for a long time, and the time is finally close. I hope to be off exploring the US by Aug/Sept.  I am an experienced camper, but have never had an RV, or camped for longer than a couple of weeks.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning from your posts.

We are not doing full-time RV travel. We enjoy our R-Pod, and have had some great trips so far. Our last one had its problems (ice and wind), so our R-Pod is at the factory to be repaired. We anticipate traveling to pick it up next month and then preparing for our next adventure with it. For the two of us, the RP-179 has been the perfect size. Some people enjoy the larger dry shower of the 180, but my wife and I like the larger kitchen and additional storage of the 179. We figure that we don't use the shower as much, so we appreciate the layout of the 179. However, you choose what feels right for you. I like that I can get in and customize our escaPOD to suit our needs even better. The R-Pods are fun travel trailers. I hope you enjoy your travels when you get yours and make many great memories.
