On a side note filling your fresh water tank.  I took my white hose and hooked it up to my outside faucet then timed how long it took to fill a 5 gallon bucket - it took 40 seconds or 8 seconds/gallon.   So for the 30 gallon tank it should take (30x8) 240 seconds or 4 minutes.  I timed it as I filled the tank, at 4 minutes the water began to shoot out of the overflow hole, so now if we go for just a couple days I know if I want to take, say 10 gallons I fill the tank for 80 seconds and am good to go.

After filling my fresh water tank my sensor still shows empty. I am positive the tank is full but it does not register on the gauge. It is a new (2017) 179 and I can take it back to dealer under warranty but was hoping it might be something simple that I could fix before driving the 60 miles to the dealer. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. BTW, the gauge does light up but only shows empty.

They are notoriously inaccurate, but yours appears to be non functioning. Let dealer fix. You'll have enough to do without warranty.
