So, I bought a 178 right before xmas, it stayed in storage till last month.
4 months in storage and when I got back to it, the blue tube for the toilet water was broken.
I could not figure out why I had no water pressure.
After finding out the problem and capping the hose ( a royal pain in the ass BTW ) I was able to use my shower and other faucets.
However, as I look into this piece that broke I see nothing but BAD crappy parts. I am pretty disappointed with this, my trailer is 5 hours away from where I bought it. And the dealer is a little over 1.5 hrs from my house... So I am going to have to skip warranty and fix it myself, I am capable and ok with it but Rpod people if you are reading this, please use better parts, hopefully not china made parts TongueLOL
A big question I have is that I am wondering if the sub-floor would get ruined by the leak. It mostly drained on the shower floor that is made of water but I am thinking some might have gone behind the toilet wall.
Any ideas suggestions or ways to get a better part ?

Thanks

I have to wonder, if people that worked there used these things, what we would get as a customer would be vastly better.  Its always little things.  I personally think they should investigate the usage of glue on trim. If we can glue airplanes together, why not a trailer.  The idea of a factory is to improve average quality while controlling costs.  Just like your worthless hose, what would a better hose actually represent when your spending $20K .

Just the little things that are so easy to avoid.  Attention to detail seems like a lost art.

Our wish list for future 179:
  • hardwire surge protector
  • no sink in wet bath, or larger wet bath
  • lift bed for storage
  • speaker located over the bed
  • quite AC
  • dual propane
  • battery cut off switch
  • tilt on television

Just saying....why didn't they put a tilt on the tv? Confused

I'll vote for better quality control from the factory! I've found to many fit and finish issues.

Put a On/Off switch for the electric element of the water heater inside the trailer! Dahhh that should be a no brainer but nope had to do that mod myself.

Offer a better suspension and lift kit. It sure be nice to take out some of the trailer "bounce" and raise the gray and black water outlet.

Offer a slide out awning.

Better or actually a quality control at the factory.
Better mattress and better foam.
No freshwater tank behind the axle for the 179.

By chance have you had a chance to post photos? I'm wondering what style you got for that price. I'm planning to make one soon for our 179 (not automated). I already have the keder and will be buying the fabric this month (I have swatches on order from Seattle Fabrics, plus a bunch of sturdy fabric already in my stash). But I'm curious as to what you have. If no photos yet, no worries!

The only tank behind the axle on the 179 is the gray water tank. Is that what you meant?
