I am planning to purchase a new tow bar. Can you guys recommend Blue Ox products? They are currently on sale in 4wheelonline and I am really tempted to place an order. I will be using my Chevrolet Silverado 3500 to tow.

Tow bar? Do you mean weight distribution hitch? A tow bar would be if you want to tow a vehicle behind a motor home. A WD hitch is for towing a trailer.
You might consider the Equal-i-zer 9000600, the Fastway E2 (6000 lb trunion), or the Andersen No-Sway instead. The Blue Ox seems rather expensive in comparison, even at the sale price. I don't have any experience with the Blue Ox. I use the Equal-i-zer hitch myself. |

You don't need a WDH for a 3500 except maybe for some anti-sway. |

He would have to answer for sure, but when I went to the site he linked, I did not see any sway bars. There were Blue Ox tow bars and Blue Ox WD hitches, but no sway bars. |

Great idea Charlie. Would probably get better mpg too! After all, 2 less tires on the road, less resistance! Won't try that with my 1994 F-150 though, with 309 K miles, would probably break its back.

Is "tow bar" the same as "ball mount"? I think you would need one with a significant drop.
The 2 inch square piece of steel that has the tow ball inserted into it is called the ball mount. Depending on the height of the R-Pod coupler, and how much sag you expect to get with your tow vehicle (likely little to none on a big pickup) you will need to get a drop bar to get the ball down to about the same height as the R-Pod coupler. A ball mount that puts the 2 inch ball about an inch higher than the Pod coupler would be good.
HIGHLY unlikely you would need any WD hitch setup. But a friction sway control would be OK if needed. depends on Pod loading and driving conditions.
