It's the same on both sides, so white to white and black to black

They get hit by road debris etc, and sometimes pull loose.

Also suggest you replace the tie wraps with a heavier grade, after your repairs. Some heavy duty tie wraps will give you more confidence in the hook up.

thanks for the reply furpod, I wish it was that simple. I have 2 green wires coming out of the passenger side brake back plate and 1 white wire with a black stripe and a black wire with 2 white stripes that I need to connect to the green wires... the tt is a 2015 rp178... very confusing... I thought of connecting them up to see what would happen but I'm not sure if that would cause more problems

Mike that is what I intended to do, thanks for the encouragement...

It's actually a simple electromagnet..I do not believe they are current dependent. ie: the +/- don't matter, that's why both wires are the same color.

Hey y'all, thank you for your help and suggestions. talked to a service tech where I bought the TT, it doesn't make any difference which wire goes where. Furpod you had it right - good job. got the wires connected and we are ready to travel. this is a great forum and a great resource, thank you.
