Gator where is latch?    Mine is stored open and waiting for 4-8 inches to finish and wind to quit blowing then will have wife check it out cause i cannot walk in that much snow. Do not forget to put a box of baking sodfa in the fridge then use in drains in spring.

Our 172 has the latch too.  A bugger to slide out, but it does work.  Nothing for the freezer tho. and in our last frig we did the ice tray trick too.

Thanks for the Welcome Doug, I don't think you have to worry with the freezer either cause it's not airtight. The Little latch is right in the middle of the main latch on the inside wall of
the fridge, its just a little piece that sticks out some and you just slide it forward and when
you shut the door it latches to this piece and stays put slightly open.  Welcome ALL.

My fridge has a 'pull-out' latch to hold the doors slightly open on both doors.  Use a light to look at
the outer edge of the open door...you should be able to see the latches.  They not only hold the doors slightly ajar but also hold the doors from swinging further open if you don't try to open the doors as usual.  I like this feature because in my RV I have to use the 'ice tray jam' method and
if I am puttering around in the RV, I always seem to bump the doors wide open.
