Stuff storage during trips

We bought some wooden crates on sale. Those work great for organizing the kitchen cabinet and keeping things from banging around. We have the Magma nesting cookware. That set rides in a crate along with an induction cooktop. Other items ride in other crates. Rather than have to dig through a crowded cabinet to get the item that inevitably slides to the back of the cabinet, one just has to remove the crates to access the items easily.

For the pantry, Aldi had some metal mesh rectangular bins on sale, so I bought a bunch of them. The fit the pantry perfectly. Unfortunately, Aldi does not stock them regularly, so a different source would need to be found. With cans and glass, having them in these bins means they ride with much less risk of breakage.
For the refrigerator, the refrigerator bars (either single or double) that are adjustable, spring-loaded bars work great for keeping things on the shelf I also use one or two for the kitchen shelves to keep some of the appliances from shifting during travel. They are quite useful for those items too tall or large for a crate.

You can also find items like plate holders that have a non-slip backing to hold your plates. They work well. When we had the accident, they kept our Corningware dishes in place, so we did not have any broken dishes.

We use the fridge bars in the fridge and in the pantry of our 179. They work well.

We have a few rolls of anti-slip carpet pads that we got from the dollar store and put those under any rubbermaids to help with slipping.

Both the plastic bag and shower rod sound like very good ideas.
