someone asked how we anchor the bungee cords---I installed a small hook eye in 2 corners of the shower at the right angle vertical wall intersection(rear and front walls) about 6" above the average height of the hanging clothes. I hook each end of the bungee to each hook eye. the rod goes from over the shower to over the toilet and is removable. it is as high as possible and still allow a coat hanger to fit.
other storage ideas- we use tucker totes to hold food items-they slide under our bed we use tucker totes for bedding(pillows, blankets, sleeping bag) that also slide under the bed we use an ice chest located in the back of our tow vehicle to keep cold drinks and vegetables when we are travelling, all of the dish soap, scrubbers, etc travel in 3 nested plastic dish pans sitting in the sink take less and make everything do double duty to the extent possible Vann |

Yepper, during my 2 months stay in Pod, while working in AL, I used back of crew cab as closet, same concept, clothes bar across grab handles. Took my worn outfit out to truck every night, brought next day outfit in, was ready in am. I can move clothing to one side and still have space for Buck, my English Bulldog in rear seat. Advise a good clothes bar not a cheap one. The only other mod I did was add 6' by 16" wire shelves at front and rear of my 178 above the curtain valances. I stabilized them with wood closet rods from side to side. Created a lot of storage space. Again I it is a 178 so I didn't have rear kitchen or a side dinette. Bed is in back and dinette is in front, so worked for me. Thanks.

We bought one of the expanding rods that goes across the car/SUV/truck and hooks on to the hook or grab handle. It is like having a second, larger closet on which to hang things. Since we were carrying bulky winter clothing, it came in handy. I see it being useful in summer also.
We got the Bell Automotive Ultra Clothes Bar. |

Both the plastic bag and shower rod sound like very good ideas.
? I'm a little confused, what do you anchor the bungee cords to??

One of the handiest things we use is a clear vinyl shoe bag that is screwed to the wall behind our microwave. We cut it to the desired length and use the pockets to store flashlights, tv remotes, glasses, sunscreen, bug spray, hand creams, etc. cheap, easy, cut to fit sized-available at wally world
we also put up a shower rod that goes across the ceiling of the bath. we hang coats and towels on the rod. when travelling, we use a bungee cord to hold them tight to the wall so they don't fall. the rod is easy to remove in order to use the shower and we push all the clothes back over the toilet when in camp in order to use the toilet Vann |

We have a few rolls of anti-slip carpet pads that we got from the dollar store and put those under any rubbermaids to help with slipping.
Everything else is brought down to floor level and secured in folding totes or packing cubes. Shampoo, soaps, detergents and anything liquid are put in the dishpan or on the floor of the shower. Hanging organizers are unhooked from the walls and gently rolled up (stuff still in the pockets) and put in folding totes on the beds.

I also put some 1X2 wood lathe on floor of my storage areas to prevent my plastic containers from sliding. Labeled the containers, and also use heavier items to support the containers, for example my BBQ grill has a lathed area.

We use the fridge bars in the fridge and in the pantry of our 179. They work well.
