Does anyone know why my shower only trickles out water?
I dismantled the whole assembly and blew through it, so it is not plugged (unless both hot and cold are plugged.)
Never used it for the first two years as my ex did not want mold etc. The sink and toilet pressures are just fine.
Seriously, it is just a trickle.
Thanks,
ilthyn

Great thought mjlrpod.  That would be my guess as that is the only thing between the pump and the shower outlet, as far as I know.

Try unscrewing the "wand" and turning the water on.. see if the blockage is before the hose, or after..

Assuming you pulled the diverter knob on the bathroom sink faucet there is a on off button on the shower head you might want to to check.

As the water heater anode rod ages it sheds small chunks that can clog up plumbing fixtures. The sink screen has clogged a few times for us.

It's not a bad idea to drain the hot water tank occasionally. I was surprised by the amount of particulate matter that came out the anode rod hole when we drained ours to sanitize the system. I could definitely envision that causing clogs.

I agree, every year as part of winterizing. You can use hose on jet spray, but they make a very inexpensive wand that attaches to water hose to flush inside of water heater.
