I wanted to mount my battery cuttoff like yours, but didnt have the tools to make a hole that big and not sure what to use anyway.  the steel box i have is very hard to cut.  What did you use to make the hole?

This is what i came up with to remount the battery box after having to move it because of the WDH. no room to spare.  I think i got really lucky that this actually worked out.  I remember looking at the others that have done this mod and didn't consider how tight all this is.  The only problem is that i have to remove the tank cover to get to the latch for the battery box.  Not a big deal since the only thing in there is batteries and no room for anything else anyway.  I used 1.25" tubing and my nutsert tool to mount to the frame and then used 1/4" stainless bolts to mount it all up.  I also had to reposition the safety brake by just turning it 90 deg to the inside, which isn't ideal, but should still work in case it ever happens.  Now i am ready to try the e2 on a trip this weekend i hope.

a few more pics  I managed to get the battery boxes inside the box, just no lids.  i used a 2.6 cu ft box and i think that most are 2.75cf.  If you want to use the box for storage, get the bigger box for sure. I actually found a use for the worthless sewer hose holder-floormat storage.

Texman,
I used a regular hole saw going slow with oil, took awhile but worked. You could drill a small 3/8" hole and then use a jigsaw because the hole doesn't need to be perfect Since the square plate on the switch covers the holes edges. I put a good bead of silicone on the back of the plate before I screwed it on.

Went ahead and replaced the tires to D rated Carlisle

And mounted the battery disconnect and added another Zamp port or 12v outlet

added the 3500# jack.  Wish all mods were that easy and beneficial. it is a stromberg-carlson from etrailer.

i think i have maxed the available room on the a frame.  propane cover is very tight.

trying to figure out if one post is enough for the table mod and if i want to mount to the floor or mount to plywood base instead.  Cry

I am opting for two posts since I will be reusing the existing table top. Since it is rectangular, I am opting for more support so it won't wobble and spill things. I plan on putting the floor mounts directly on the floor. If I think it isn't sturdy enough, then I will use anchors to attach to the floor.

My order is projected to arrive tomorrow.
