Is there an interest in attending a rally in central Missouri to view the solar eclipse.  It would require a minimum 3 day stay beginning Friday 8/18/2017 outside the quaint historic village of Arrow Rock Missouri in a small wooded state park. On Monday, 8/21/2017 experience the total solar eclipse for 2 minutes and 39 seconds shortly after 1:00 pm. Reservations must be made through mostateparks.com after a date to be announced.  At this point just determining interest and a core group.

This is also posted in the Events section of the R-Pod Owners Facebook page.

What a cool idea! Most likely we will be on the west coast so we couldn't participate. But, if our plans changed, we'd consider it! Thanks for organizing this!

We're planning on an eclipse outing too but we haven't decided where along the track to try observe it. I'm seriously tempted by this idea but previous eclipse experiences have taught me to be flexible in case of cloudy conditions.  We will leave our options open so we can chase down clear skies if necessary.

This is a real concern. Realistically if local clouds come in we are mobile (w/o the Pods) to move to a clearer area.  If it's widespread clouds were up the proverbial creek since it will be difficult to out drive that where ever we start from.  At least here we are closer to the band than at home.
