That's what I forgot to mention in my earlier post. One of the reasons I like the 179 with the wet bath is that it frees up so much space for storage. A full bath would take up the closet space and the drawers below the closet. I need that extra space so that I can better organize the trailer - don't like that cluttered look I've had with some campers where there was not enough storage to put your belongs out of sight. I only bathe once or twice a day but I would have to look at that clutter all day long. Love the closet more than a full bath.

Because we do use the shower, I decided to upgrade the shower head to an Oxygenics body Spa. We'll see how it works on the next trip out. My quick trial (just into the sink) makes me think it will be far, far better than the stock shower head.

We had that dilemma as well, we chose the 179 because we came to realize I will only spend very minimal time in the bathroom if I use it at all; rather than spending soooo much more time in the kitchen. Well worth the decision! Love the kitchen area!

P.S. The Oxygenics Body Spa shower head is on an inventory reduction sale at Camping World for $29.97 (for the white model. Chrome and Brushed Nickel are more).

I bought the Oxygenics. Wife hated it so old one went back on.
We rarely camp where showers are available/inviting. We do shower every night - separately in the pod. Two showers and normal daily usage - about 10 gallons. Two showers, normal daily usage and wife washes her hair - about 15 gallons. I've carried enough five gallon buckets full of gray water to find this pretty consistent and predictable. Once you have a handle on your daily requirements and a system for dealing with dumping/refilling, it's much easier. We wipe down the bath with a microfiber towel. fred |

I am sure we will like the Oxygenics in the Pod. We have had one in our house for a number of years and both like it. I have been waiting for a sale since the normal price was more than I wanted to pay. On our first trip, we used the shower. In addition to the other use, we got 3 showers in before the gauge was reading empty and the pump was starting to pull air along with the water. We've since become more frugal with the water.
I got a squeegee to use for initial wipe-down of the walls. I'll have to keep a microfiber cloth handy to finish the job. Thanks for the idea. |

When we get our 180 we will add the oxygenics shower head and see if we can take long showers. If not we will be switching the water heater out for a Truma tankless system. It is very efficient and can run a week two showers a day on one tank of propane. Expensive at $1100 + labor but may be worth it for us old folks who need to soften up our backs with a 10 minute hot shower to get the day started. Of course cannot do this drydocking as would fill up the tanks quickly
