Also have the CA cover.  It's a bit fragile:  don't be surprised if it tears at stress points.

Pool noodle advice is much appreciated!

I'm worried about those rain spouts that stick out about 4 inches on the slide out side. I'm thinking about fastening a plastic bowl or something like that over them to prevent snagging them and breaking them loose. It seems like the caulk is about the only thing holding them on.

Insight anybody? I just ordered the Classic Accessories cover - putting our new 179 away for it's first winter!

I use short pieces of pool noodle on those as well. It seems to work okay.

I ordered the PermaPro (as opposed to the Polypro) for my soon to be 180.
Not sure of the difference in the real world - and costs a little more.
Lifetime warranty maybe?
Guess time will tell.

If I had seen there were two types (PolyPro vs PermaPro I might have opted for the strong (more expensive) ripstop version.
From what I'm reading the Polypro and PermaPro are both polyester - but the PermaPro is "ripstop." I might just get 3 years from mine, whereas you will probably get 4 years of service from your cover - assuming we both do what we can to prevent the antenna and gutters from wearing holes in our covers.
I watch a U-Tube video of a couple that put their cover on using telescoping fiberglass paint roller poles. We're going to give that a try when we put our cover on this weekend - I'll report back!

I also did not realize there were different types.
Did not know till I read this post, saw mine costs way more, then read the difference.
Guess we'll both find out...

I ordered a PermaPro yesterday on EBay for $212 including shipping.  Someday I want to pour a concrete slab and put up a 10' car port to park it under.  That won't be anytime in the near future though so hopefully the cover will last until I can afford a more permanent solution.

I also have a CA cover, not impressed, less than one year and it tore at none stress points.  I removed it today in getting ready for trip to AL and it ripped almost like it had weathered , like a tarp.  Needless to say when I bring POD back in 8 weeks I will look for better quality cover.
