So after a few lazy trips to the beach cottage, we decided to stop using the noob excuse and go to a real campground. This weekend we are heading up into the mountians, to Greenwood Campground in Woodford VT (next to Bennigton). This is the first time we will be using any of the plumbing, or the cooktop, so that in itself will be an adventure for us. I'll give my review when I get back, assuming my Pod stays on the hitch...unlike the last trip to the beach...

Have fun! We've had our POD for a month now and have used everything but the water heater. Smooth sailing so far! The AC is especially appreciated! We're in MN, and it is hot! Our favorite is the outdoor shower!

We had a great time. A lovely campground, run by a wonderful and dedicated family. We enjoyed a three night stay in our 171, the sites were well laid out and maintained beautifully. It was a fantastic respite from the summer heat and smog of Eastern MA, clear cool mountain air at nights. Hot showers with great water pressure is a huge plus, especially since they make every effort to keep the facilities very clean. Bennigton is only a 15 minute drive from camp, which is a hidden renaissance gem of downtown shops (where you can also find larger stores retails to replenish items, if you have a large family like me). The campground is a great place to visit for anything from tent dry camping for a week, to pulling through with your land yacht for a night or two along the way on your journey. We can't wait for our next visit!

Sounds like a great place. We just got back from 3 nights in Woodford as well, but we stayed at Woodford State Park. A nice state campground with a small lake and a lot of friendly people. Even saw another r-pod there. Any way you cut it, it's 10ยบ cooler there than anywhere else.
