We're picking up our 179 in two weeks - delayed a bit due to a schedule conflict last weekend. While we're waiting, we're shopping for a short queen mattress. We really want a quality mattress with springs, cool-gel foam, firm and comfortable. We found one we like and are having Mattress Warehouse manufacture a 60 x 74 special order. It will take 4 weeks.
Today I received a call - Mattress Warehouse has the same mattress IN STOCK but 60 x 75, instead of 60 x 74. Will it fit, with bowing or buckling?
It seems like it should compress 1" - but it does have springs inside. Should I get the 60 x 75 mattress that's in stock, or stick with the special order 60 x 74?

I would wait and get the one you ordered.  The 75" might fit but making the bed would be harder.

That's what I'm going to do. Spending $500 - a lot for an RV Mattress - not worth risking it. If it was 100% foam, I think it would work - but compressing those springs to force 75" of mattress into 74" of space will, at best, make the bed even HARDER to make up than it already is.
It will mean waiting another week or two - but while we're waiting we'll give the stock mattress a try on our first weekend adventure. From what I'm reading on the post, sleeping on the mattress that comes with it will make us REALLY appreciate the new one when it arrives!

my 60X74 is a very snug fit; not sure if another inch would make it without some force. just my thoughts. hogone

We replaced our stock mattress after 3 nights on it, it was already sagging and we are both relatively small framed people.  We purchased the mattress in a roll from camping world, going on year 6 now and still very comfortable to sleep on.  Good idea to stay with the 60 x 74 size.  That one extra inch will only prove to be problematic.

We got our new 179 in May of 2015 we put a padded mattress cover (about $50) on the stock matress and we are very happy and comfortable. We have about 80 nights on it so far.
