The fact that the filter plugged up proves it was needed.

My filter was no good after two days.

We used it on a two night trip and then when we hooked it up on another trip a month later it would not allow any water to flow through it.   I tried to back flush it just didn't want to allow anything more than a trickle through it. Not sure if I'm going to use a filter going forward after this.

I agree that the filter can be clogged, even though it is relatively new. I had one that did not have much use but the flow rate was decreasing. Although they say that they are supposed to last for a season (I think that is defined as 3 months), I don't think that they actually last that long with full output. As the media filters out undesirable items, the media won't let water flow through as easily.

As for pressure regulators, they are recommended. The plumbing in the R-Pod should not be subjected to high pressure. Some city water supplies can have a pressure 80 psi or higher.  There are different types. The simplest is a brass fitting that limits pressure to 40-50 psi. Other models have gauges so you can see the pressure. Others still are adjustable. If you get an adjustable one, note that it does not work like a faucet. Tightening the regulator's adjustment screw raises the pressure. It is the opposite of a valve where tightening it turns the water off.

Remove the filter temporarily and check the flow. The filter may be clogged. Check the flow at the open end of the hose. Static pressure does not guarantee flow. Also check the screens in the faucets. Lots of crud accumulates in those filters. Also remember most RV faucets are limited to <2GPM by design. Their not like you home bathtub faucet.

I always like connecting the filter at the Pod end in case anything got into the hose that needs to be filtered out.

Do you have a pressure regulator on your city water connection? If so, is it one of the adjustable types? If it is, then is it adjusted correctly? What is the pressure of the city water connection? It could be low. You can also check the screen on the city water inlet. It may be clogged. If the pressure at your faucet is good when you use water from the tank with the pump, then the problem is probably not within your R-Pod. Also, do you have an inline filter? If so, is it possibly clogged and in need of replacement?
What size hose are you using? Are there any kinks in it? It is probably good to get an elbow to install at the city water connection so the weight of the hose does not kink the hose.

Check the faucet, unscrew the tip of it and the screen check both for debris. A lot come through with debris from the lines.
