I have tried to post photos from my Samsung Galaxy 7 phone, and I get a message that my files are too large. I cannot figure out how to re-size them on the phone or here. Advice would be appreciated!

Do you have a desktop or laptop computer? If so, then you will be able to do it. You can use many image editing programs to resize your photographs. The way I do it is described below. If you don't have an image editing program, you can download the freeware GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), which is available for Linux (which I use), Mac OS X, or Windows.

Copy the picture files over to the computer.
Open the picture in the GIMP.
Select Image/Scale Image
Set it to resize the larger of Width or Height to 640 and hit tab. It will fill in the other box with the appropriate number.
Select the Scale button.
Save your image with a descriptive name so you can find it. It will be in the GIMP file format.
Select Export
Choose either JPEG or PNG file format. Either will work. I prefer PNG. The defaults will be fine for saving.
Your image is now resized and in a format that you can upload.

I hope this is clear enough and helps.

I have been a member of several forums in the past and have never had any problems posting pics before but for some reason I can't get photos to upload to save my life.  I'm using an IPad. Is there anyone els using an iPad that can give me some advise?

Can you resize the photos so that they are 1024 KiloBytes or smaller each? The forum's upload dialog specifies this file size limit. Also, in what format are your pictures? This is the information from the upload dialog:

Images must be of the type, jpg, jpeg, gif, png, and have a maximum file size of 1024KB

This file size has increased. When I first started uploading picture files, the limit was 500 KB.

I can't remember if an Android phone will do it as well, but if I email photos to myself using my iphone it asks me what size I'd like to send.  I just pick the right size, hit send, and save it in my photos again and the file size is within the threshold.
