Just booked a week @ Blackwoods Campground in Acadia this fall.

Any reviews? Any good striper fishing? How about lobster/steamer shacks close by?

Thanks!

We love Acadia and there's so much to see - be sure to check out the "Quiet Side" of the island. Thurston's Lobster pound in Bass Harbor or Beal in Southwest Harbor should be on your list. The one thing you should not skip (trust me I've been 12 times) is the Ships Harbor nature trail, easy, pretty and AMAZING at sunset.

Indian Point Blagden peserve is a short hike but every time I do it I see lots of seals. One of the best things we've ever done is an Island Cruise https://bassharborcruises.com/ absolutely amazing.

All that "upstate kate" says plus:

We go to Acadia every year, if you bicycle the carriage roads are a must you can walk them as well but they are outstanding for biking. Their are some great guided kayaking trips out of Bar Harbor and several other locations. Don't avoid Bar Harbor yes it's crowded noisy and touristy but worth a visit it really is a nice place to stroll through and look at the shops or people watch. Jordan's Restaurant in the morning for blueberry muffins or pancakes and Rosalie's Pizza for great pizza and beer. You can see I'm a real gourmet.

We were at Blackwoods for 2 days last year.  You can read about our time in Acadia here:

Thanks Leo! Gonna do a warm up hunting Bass up in your neck of the woods - Squam Lake - in a few days. Still determined to catch Walter! (On Golden Pond)
