Hi, new R pod owner (first time).  Very excited and also a bit overwhelmed.  Have been long time reader of the forum though.

Question is I have a 2016 182g.  Every time I open the garage the rubber sealant around the edge sticks and is actually leaving a little behind on the camper.  Is this common "breaking in" or a reason for concern?

Thanks in advance.

Baby powder it. It should not stick.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!

If you do not happen to have baby powder, try rubbing it with a bar of soap or candle (unlit, of course). Spray silicones or WD-40 would work but, may want to degrade the rubber over time.

Be careful with silicone or WD40, as David mentions, it may degrade the rubber. Read the label to make sure it's safe to use.

What we use in aviation to lubricate rubber parts is petrolatum or petroleum jelly (basically Vaseline).

You can always stop by one of those shady stops on the side of the highway that are advertised on those big billboards, I'm sure they carry Latex Lubrication products! LOL
