We watched a couple movies in our new 179 and they both played in black and white. I hope to think is has something to do with setup both not a electronic guru. Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

Yes, switch you tv input to "AV" when watching a dvd and that should fix it.

Angry
Last week end camping at Cedar Key we tried to watch a couple of DVD's but kept getting a message that there was no signal. We had the TV set for AV but we had no sound and no picture. We could get the sound through the external speakers of the camper but nothing through the TV. WE also had the external antenna turned off.

Thanks for any suggestions.

We had the same problem with out 180.  The factory did not connect the video cable to the output jack.  I removed  the the cover where the red, white and yellow cable plugs in and reached inside and connected the video cable (yellow plug) to the back side of the connector plate. They did not connect all three cables.  now all was well.
