Last week I was pulling my R-Pod (2012 model 177 ) behind a Semi when one of the semi's tires blew. I steered over the pieces of shredded tire rolling along the freeway and managed to straddle most of them.
Later, I heard something making a chattering noise and I stopped and found a Black pipe, labeled "Sewer Pipe" hanging down from below the battery on my tongue. I was completely mystified, and had to rip it off so I could continue my trip. I'm embarrassed to say I had NEVER noticed this pipe before. What is it ? Was there something inside it ? Do I need to replace it ?? |

Do you still have your sewer dump line? That may have been your sewer line holder. The line you attach when dumping your black and gray tanks.

Agree with SandD. Sounds like the stinky slinky storage pipe. Mine is too short to store my rino pipe in anyway so I'll be installing a new one. I'm thinking about using a piece of black PVC with screw on end caps to make my own larger storage tube.

Thanks SanD and JHoffman and all, Forest River Customer support confirms thisand says I can order a new one. You guys responded faster though.... I haven't had my R-Pod long enough to use the toilet, and the previous owner forgot to point this thing out. I'm sure I have a large plastic hose that he said was for dumping the lines back in the "trunk." JHoffman - what's a Rino pipe ? Thanks ! |

Rino pipe is a brand of sewer pipe. You might do well wandering the aisles of a Camping World or some such place to get a better idea of what's available for RVs. Walmarts generally have a small section of RV supplies too; mostly things you might need on the road, whereas Camping World, et al, have all of the infrastructural stuff as well as every accessory you can imagine.

Leave your credit card in the car. That way you have to think about if you REALLY need that collapsible colander set before you buy it.. LOL

Something like the Super Slider tube might be a better option. http://www.dwincorp.com/products/125/NEW-SUPER-SLIDER-Adjustable-SUPER-TUBE Home Depot's website shows that a 10' length of white 6" Schedule 40 PVC is about $41. A 33-60" Super Slider is $50. I bought one and plan to install it between the back wall of the trailer and the spare tire using a couple of 10" mending plates screwed to the rear frame bar. |

+1 on the Super Slider. I recommend the 43/80" model to ensure adequate overlap of the two sections for transverse mounting. You need 60" for for the Rhino kit.
