Thanks so much for your water system flushing recipe. I will use it next spring. Next winter I will not add the rv antifreeze to the water lines. My dealer recommended to do so and to run some through the water pump. That made some sense but I think a good complete blowing out should do it…..hopefully.

We will have an issue in the future. My wife just started using oxygen at night. We will need to figure out how to power an oxygen concentrator. That will likely be a modification to come.

Stephen, Great idea on the Jack pads you made. When the weather cooperates, would it be possible to show a picture or two of the placement of the jacking pad in position to lift the trailer. I am confused as it relates to lifting the trailer. Dimensions of the block would also be most appreciated. My 192 was purchased last July and after driving it home 180 miles I noticed the tread seemed worn down significantly. How could that be. Maybe not new. Hum. After 800 miles of use this past summer I am most disappointed with the Goodyear Endurance tire and likely also purchase the Carlisle tires next summer. Thanks in advance for your reply. Bill

Placement is easy. It goes where the axle attaches to the risers or frame so that the V notch cradles the axle and the flat parts support the vertical plates that attach the axle to the trailer. Your 192 may be set up differently. You will need to customize to suit your trailer. The V notch is so that the jack pressure is not on the axle tube. I used scrap lumber for this. Dimensions are what you have vs. what you need.
As for the tires, get them balanced if they were not done so already. Also, check that there is not excessive camber (tires leaning in or out). Also, check the inflation to make sure it is up to specification for your tires. The wear pattern will help you diagnose what is happening. If the wear is in the middle but the edges are okay, then it might be overinflated. If it is on both edges, but the center is okay, it might be underinflated. If the wear is on the inside or outside edge, but the rest is okay, then look at the camber. If it is scalloped, then have the tires balanced and/or check the brakes for drag. If the brakes lock up, it will put a flat spot on the tire. Last, check the bearings in the hubs. If they are too loose, the wheel and tire may be moving in ways that they are not supposed to . Also, do a search of the forum. Advanced search is your friend. With it, you can search older posts. The default is to only search those newer than 6 months. With advanced search, you can search any date and be more likely to find help.

Thanks so much Stephen. When I noted the tread wear after the drive home from the dealer I checked the air pressure and found them to be 20 lbs under spec so I inflated them up good. Still will need new tires shortly after summer begins. Thank you for the tire tips and the jacking information. Next spring I will make two of your blocks.
Kindest regards, Bill

I know this is long after the fact, but I don't remember if I answered your question. It is likely moot though since the restrictions have been lifted. If you look at Chris Cancilla's site, W4CEC.com, you will find out information there. Another is Five County Ham Radio Enthusiasts. Both are Laurel VEC teams and thus do not charge a fee for testing, unlike some of the others.
