We purchased our brand new 2016 RP179HRE from Porter's RV in Coos Bay, OR, a couple months ago. All the staff at Porter's were very helpful. We tow it with our 2005 Toyota 4Runner V8, and can we hardly even tell we're towing. Our previous TT was a 24' Shasta Capri, which was relatively light for a standard sized trailer, but the Rpod is so much easier to pull and park!

We spent 3 nights camping as we drove it home to Washington: 2 nights at Sunset Bay SP on the coast just outside Coos Bay, 1 night at Champoeg SP near Portland. Everything in the pod worked perfectly, and we were glad to have the Rdome, as there was a lot of rain the first day & night. Second trip was 3 nights at Bayview State Park, near Anacortes, WA.

Congrats on your New 179.  I just bought here in Grants Pass OR over the weekend. Can't wait to get it out for our first maiden voyage.

Big smile

Glad to hear you had a blessed time on your trip.  Nice set up.  That is one area of the country we would like to travel to.  Been nearly everywhere in the lower 48 except the 3 western coastal states and the north east above New York.  How many tours did you give of your rig?  We have had our 177 for over 5 years and we still give quite a few in this part of the country.

Welcome and congratulations! No doubt, this will be the beginning of many good trips in your Pod.

I am bit puzzled about the 4 links to merchandise for sale on Amazon.com. in your post. Are you aware of this?

Welcome. We are really enjoying our R-Pod 179. There are plenty of good ideas for modifications here.
