Not being able to find a suitable funnel at the auto store, I did a little hardware aisle engineering and Walla! A few 3/4" and 3" PVC fittings and a funnel that will take almost anything you can pour at it. Hand not included ;)

Note I haven't actually tried this on an RPOD, but from my memory and the power of the Elkhart Area Standards Assoc. it should work. Let me know if it doesn't.

Definitely a problem in search of a good solution.
If you're pouring a five gallon, 40 pound container of water into the pod, will the funnel stay up by itself or does it need another hand to hold it vertical? I need both hands on the water.

My biggest issue was holding the container up while pouring :(
I saw an earlier post where someone had used a battery operated pump to transfer the water; and that would work.
My solution was (is) to use an old speaker stand and extend it just above the water fill and set the aquatainer on it. Don't have any pictures, but you get the idea.

As shown the funnel requires an extra hand. I use 6.5 gallon, 55+ pound, water containers that definitely require two hands. Hence my wife's hand. For singles use a stainless steel hook could be installed through the wall to engage a hole in the top of the funnel. Back it with large washers or small plates and it should be fine. Really not much weight on the funnel even when pouring.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Marwayne,

Great solution for those of you with external fenders. Smile

I picked up this funnel from Amazon and hang it from a hook I installed with double stick tape to the side of the trailer (Hopkins 05060MI Hand-E Funnel also known as Blitz Hand-E Flex Funnel)

Great Idea but I would be sure and use a food safe plastic bucket like you can get from a brewing supplier than using an old mud bucket, just saying
