The light in my dometic refrigerator does not work.  I took the inside locking mechanism apart and removed the 4 section light bulb and checked it with another 12v power source.  The bulb works fine.  In checking the plug that comes out of the wall that connects to the terminals on the light bulb, I am getting no power to the plug.  Anyone have any idea what to do next in order to try and get power to the plug to the light.

On our 177 it is below the seat by the table.  I believe most are just above the floor by the table.  What model do you have?

I have a 2010 R172.  I think I found it.  I pulled a panel door in the area you mentioned and there were circuit breakers and fuses behind the panel.  None of the circuit breakers were tripped but I did trip and reset them all.  Also, all of the fuses were good.

Is there a swith somewhere that controls the light, or, does it stay on all the time.  Just trying to figure out how it is turned on and off.  On the front panel of my fridge, I have a power button, a mode button and a temperature control button.  How do you control the operation of the inside light, or, as I say, does it stay on all the time, which is hard to believe.

Yes sir, the power button is on, but the light will not work when the door is opened.  What controls the
on/off function of the light?  Thank you

It should be a little switch where the door latches.  The latch trips the switch when the door closes.  If you took something like a pencil and poked it into the place where the door latch goes you should hear the switch click open and closed.
