Typically not many of us use them. The Pod is narrow enough that most of us get by just fine without them.
That is not to say some don't like them. But I would say there is a much higher percentage of owners who tow just fine without them. I can see the back of my Pod just fine without.

Best? Well, without a question that would be a factory replacement tow mirror.

Best? Depends on your vehicle and how much you want to spend.
I chose these: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/clip-on-tow-mirror/69160 Don't believe the box where it says that it won't scratch the paint though. It might not scratch, but it sure rubs the paint and leaves a mark. Putting some type of padding or plastic protective coating on the mirror first helps. Otherwise, they worked fine for our trip in December/January. |

We tow with a Toyota Tacoma, stock mirrors, never a problem with visibility

I should have added that we tow with an Escape. We might not need the mirrors, but I do appreciate the extra width. I see better with them.

I use a pair of add-ons that fit over my Chevy factory mirrors. They stick out a little farther and give me a better view of what's actually behind me. Also helpful with some backing up. The added width of the mirrors also reminds me that I'm towing something a bit wider than my truck. They're worth the few bucks and the few minutes to put on.

It would help to know what you ore towing with. Very few use towing mirrors because the pod isn't much wider than the truck. We don't use them or a feel a need.

Just a word to the wise, a friend of mine was ticketed in VT for not having towing mirrors on his Honda Pilot (and he was towing a popup).
Not sure if it was BS, but it would be a small investment to purchase and put on anyways...... ![]() http://drivinglaws.aaa.com/tag/trailer-mirrors/ |
