Good Evening Folks

Being a Newbie, I am still working through a list of all that I need before I purchase a new Rpod.

That said, looking at the R-Dome and being quite familiar with tents in high wind conditions, how stable is the R-dome?

From what I can see if buttoned down tight it should hold in most storms.

Any experience or information regarding this would be most helpful.

Thank You
Dave & Joyce

Our Dome has been up in some pretty good blows.. 40mph sustained once. get real stakes, use them. Utilize the tie outs.

Our experience has been with moderate to somewhat strong winds the R-Dome holds up well.  The suction cups don't always hold on and as furpod stated above, get real stakes, the ones that come with the dome are tinker toy and if you only plan on having minimal winds you will be ok.  A couple years ago we were at Wells State Park in the UP of Michigan along Lake Michigan and the winds were nearly consistant 35 - 40 mph, the dome came down and the bars kept banging against the side of the pod.  I was exhausted after about a 15 minute battle to take the dome all the way down until after the storm was over.  That was the only time we put up the white flag.

Spunds like some of my tent camping.

Our experience has been somewhat disappointing.  The flex pole has broken twice.  I think the problem is that it is cheap Chinese aluminum.  We have replaced it with a fiberglass flexpole.  So far, no problems.  Even so, the R-dome is wonderful
