   I changed the foam in our cushions for a better quality foam. What a difference, wish I had made the change sooner. Ordered the foam over the internet then measured it and cut it with a kitchen knife, very easy mod. The two things I wish RV manufactures would spend a few extra dollars on that's cushion foam and plywood instead of using particle board. I am going out to our camper now more often to read and watch TV the comfortable cushions make it so much more enjoyable.

I second the suggestion on the particle board, especially for the counter top.

I changed my counter and used 3/4" birch and almond laminate.

From which company did you purchase the foam?

We replaced the 178 dinette cushions last year. Big improvement. Details:

2 @ 4" x 12" x 33” => $28.16
2 @ 4" x 24" x 33” => $56.32
1 @ 4" x 23" x 74” => $61.46

Total cost = > $145.94

     We bought ours from the foam factory too. We bought the HD 36 HQ 5" thick it is more dense and a little heavier than the original factory foam, provides better support. We bought a full sheet 82" x 76"  $205.99 more than we needed for the camper but have some left over for another project. We have some long cushions about 42" and one I think was 48". I didn't like the factory covers for the back cushions so to save money I bought body pillow covers from ebay. They are easily removed to wash when needed.

Good info, the cushions for the dinette in our Salem compress to nothing and should be replaced.  Something to add to my to-do list.

Just what I was looking for, my trailer is in storage right now, but I'm anxious to get this done. Sound like I just need to buy some good foam and do it myself.

Thanks
