not to confuse things here, but right now my pod is winterized (with the hot water heater empty and the bypass valves in the winterized position). so what your saying podster is that if i had water in my fresh water holding tank and turned on a hot water faucet i would or would not get water coming out of it? if i was, that would not be a way to see if my hot water heater was full. maybe hogone is just confused

The electric switch is located outside behind the black water heater panel down low on the left side. It can be hard to see, this pic may help you identify it. hwh switch.jpg
Two ways to make sure there is water in the tank 1) open a hot water valve inside the pod, if water flows then it's coming from the tank. 2) pull up slightly on the pressure relief valve on the tank, if water spurts out then you are good. Be careful with this because if the the system is under pressure and the water is hot, you could get burned.

HOT WATER HEATER
Seems the water heater on our 2015 Rpod 179 we just purchased is dual heat- propane or electric. But it is heating on propane and I have yet to figure how to switch it over to electric? Also: How can you tell for sure the hot water tank is full BEFORE turning on the electric heat element? RoadToad & Ms Badger The Toadj Me-haul
