Newbie here. My new to me R pod tilts forward when hitched up. I took a 300 mile trip with it and had no problems. However....I'm wondering if it should ride more level? Should I buy a L hitch?

I'm thinking that if I want to overnight without unhooking, it might be difficult to stay in my bed! Thanks in advance.

Does the pod sit level because of your current hitch, or because the back of your tow vehicle is squatting? Two different issues.

The pod tilts forward and it's because my current hitch is low. Is it best to have it level while traveling?

I had an Aliner. With those, it's best to have it tilt back just a fraction to prevent water from running in if it rains hard while driving.

It should be as close to level as possible.
Watch this video for some good tips:

I will thanks!
Another question...newbie, remember....does the water heater only run if the propane is on? Or does it also work on electric? I'm guessing it's propane only....

Water heater runs on either, or both, your choice based on availability and needs.. The switch for the electric side is inside the outside WH compartment, lower left, slightly hidden. Small black togle switch.. marked on/off.. The switch inside the Pod is for the gas side.

Wow! I would never have known that..thanks! I'm going camping, leaving tomorrow, and it is going to hit 28 degrees. So I thought I'd heat up a bit, I. Hopes we will be okay. Getting winterized next Monday.

Water in the heater will always be OK, it's the pipes that run outside that cause problems.....

Slightly nose-down is fine and can help prevent sway.  If you will stop somewhere w/o unhitching, like Wal-Mart, use the tongue jack to level it up - but put a big sign on the front seat reminding you to put it up before you get on the road.

Suggestion for the electric operation for the WH, leave that black switch on the outside "on" and use the circuit breaker on the converter to turn it on or off.
