Hopefully your dealer went through that part with you.  Regardless though, we like the fact that even in inclement weather we can set up our 177 in 3 - 4 minutes.  Chalk tires, level, put down 4 jacks, put slide out, done.  When we had our Jayco pop-up we had it down to a science and it still took 7 minutes, longer if it would be raining, snowing, or if the mosquitoes were bad.

It's not hard, spray a little silicone in the track and make sure all the screw heads are in tight and it should slide right through the track. After a few practice tries, my wife and I got the time down pretty well.

Hello all!

Brand new R-Pod owner here. Brand new to RVing too! I will be picking up my new RPod-180 at the end of the month. Tow vehicle is Toyota 4Runner...not sure if I should purchase a sway control/weight distribution system for this vehicle/trailer combo.

Forgive my ignorance on the topic, if this is a stupid question. I am totally brand new to all of this. I welcome any and all input.

Hi Maniac! We were all newbs.

I got a 178 that follows me behind my 4Runner. It's followed me across the country, up and down both east and west coasts and through some wild Wyoming winds. I have always used WDH (Reese) and sway (friction). No experience without it, but I've never had an issue. Ain't broke.

Thank you Fred! Your information is very helpful.

Any particular Reese model or specs I should seek out? There are so many different ones..it's overwhelming!!

Also, do you think I should just purchase from the RV dealer or buy on my own? I know I will probably pay more at dealer.....

We have a r pod 180 towing with a Chevy Colorado! I would talk to the dealer but we're not having any problems and drove thru a storm last night! With no problems
