We have had our R=Pod 179 since May of 2014. Live in Port Aransas, Tx, been to Wisc, Key West and back to Tx. May try for Deadwood next summer

Hi all, we have been off line for nearly 6 months due to me having to complete a contract. We spent Christmas on a small holding in a town called Mudgee, central NSW Australia. Then we went 'off grid' in the bush and we had a great time with our new 179 R-Pod then had to dash back to work Angry
We are off next week to a music festival so we will have another chance to experience our pod.

We like being off the grid as well, that is the only way in our national parks and state forest campgrounds.  Our 2 deep cycle marine 12V batteries easily last 4-5 days each unless we are using them a lot for the furnace; then they only last 3 days before having to recharge.

Interesting. It looks to be built to a mirror image of a US Rpod. I expect that is to have the door on the passenger side of the trailer. I guess that is so that if the door were to come open while traveling, things would fall out on the side of the road instead of the middle

Yes, from what we can see of the US R-Pods it appears to be a mirror image. Maybe the reason is that the door must be on the curb side for street parking! Maybe there is some regulation as other vans here in Australia all seem to have doors on the passengers side.
By the way I think this forum is really great I have found some really useful information and made a couple of mods based on others experiences, especially as we believe we are the only 179 in Australia
Thank you all

I imagine you get a lot of attention with it then if yours is the only 179 in Australia. We get a lot here, as there are not too many in our area. It is fun to show it to curious people.
