We keep getting these stains on the black surface of the 2 burner stove top. Any suggestions on how to remove them? It seems that no amount of rubbing will remove them.

Have you tried using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? Not sure what's causing your stains (picture?), but the Magic Erasers work wonders in our kitchen.
