Spare Tire vs Bike Rack

Ok, I'm thinking about moving the spare tire on my 179 onto the tongue, so I can use a bike rack on the back.
I'm not worried about the wight at the back, the bike rack and bike weigh less than the spare and the spare mounting bracket, or whatever it's called. 
My concern is about the additional weight on the tongue.  I currently have one propane take, two batteries.  I'm thinking that the spare tire must weigh less than a full propane tank, right?  Any concerns about the additional weight, or problems with the handling of the vehicle? 
I know many of you have done this, any thoughts, pics...?

We went cheap and got a "Spare Joe" rack to carry my wife's one bike that mounts on the spare tire. It doesn't fit the spare tire and slips around. It also adds more load than you want on the little hitch receiver back there. After one long trip I am afraid to use it again, even for one bike. Don't consider a spare tire mount type. The solution you are looking at is the way to go.    

If anyone can share some photos and details on how you mounted spare tire to the tongue I would appreciate it.
