Has anybody installed a 12 volt receptacle in their R Pod?
I have a new 179 and noticed there are two empty 12 volt fuse connections in the electrical panel. I would love to install a receptacle and two I phone/I pad USB receptacles in my POD. Will this work?

Something like this may be of interest:

They have other, less expensive options, also. Working from memory, the 2 bottom positions on the WFCO distribution panel are 30 amp capable.

I have run 2 separate circuits in mine - one for my ham radio and other for my inverter. The most difficult part of the job is getting the wires where you need them....you may have to do some exploration.

I would also add - use the largest wire size as practical, to lessen voltage drop.

Amazon has a similar model for $23. I plan on installing it in the fall with other projects.

A recent post also showed a 12v receptacle with a voltage readout. I wish I had done that with mine. Go for it. The extra outlets are great to have. FR should have included some 12v outlets to begin with.
