Last week early one morning an elderly man was walking around Tennison Bay campground in Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek, WI. He told me he went down to the lake and couldn't find his campsite, there are a lot of loops. I took him to the campground host, Bob, who called the office to find his campsite. Bob made a great suggestion for all of us, especially children & the elderly, "Write the campsite number on the back of their hand with a pen."

That is a great idea. Similar concept could work for dogs also; clip a tag with campsite # on it to their collar.

They use their nose to find their way back home something that they have a big advantage with over humans.

Moosepod does this. They have some of those bright luggage tags, and at each campground, they make sure the tag lists the CG, and the site number. Our dogs have tags with our cell phone numbers on them. Most campgrounds we have good cell coverage.
