We got our 179 in April.  Trying to figure out the rdome. It's way too long, and keeps coming out of the channel. Any advice would be appreciated...

Do you know what part number your done is? It would be on the box for the dome. In April they came out with a specific dome for the 179. We had our dealer get us the new one before we opened the box to the dome that came with our own 179. Our dome sticks out on both ends of the rail by about 10" but overall fits and works fine. We have not had pull or ship out of the rail on its own.

It's funny, when I hear someone say the the Rdome keeps coming out of the channel, and others complain it's almost too tight to even install.  If you can post a picture of your Rdome, I can tell you which "version" it is (by my count, we're on version 3 now).  Your dealer may have sold you an older model, with the 9mm track.  The new Rdome fits in a 14mm track.  The old domes won't work with the new Rpods.

Very doubtful.. Though possible.

The small keder dome has been out of production for several years. We have seen several new owners that needed to close up the track just a bit with padded vice grips, seems a small bit of tolerance stacking may be to blame...
