Hello fellow podders today I did it ! Bought a new HRE 171 named " KAMP KRAMP " Can't wait to start my mods.
Thanks to all that have responded to my questions. It is really cool to find a group of people that help each other out and keep in touch all because of a frog and some rings ! 🐸 ♻️ 🔘

Thank you all

Oops I was so excited about my r pod I forgot to ask my question. Does anyone know if a 110 v TV pluged into a 140 watt power inverter will use more battery power than a regular 12 v TV ? I'm assuming it does but not sure.
Thanks

Usually that is the case, converting power generally cost you about 10% loss. The modern HDTV, Visio, pulls about 25 AC watts. I do use a 150w MSW inverter to power it. I figure it consumes about 2 AH DC. Not to bad. So yes, 12v devises are more efficient to run on a 12v system. However, on smaller low draw devices with the right size inverter it will cost you a little, but not a bunch to where its just crazy to do it.

Just for reference, generally, for every 100w of AC power that your inverter is pulling, it will draw 10DC amps from the battery.
