No, those are both "positive" wires. The black wire, coming from the fuse holder is the positive, going into the speed controller, and the red wire is the positive feed from the speed controller to the motor.

There should be a white wire, coming out of the pod roof by where that black wire coming into the fuse holder is. That's the ones you want to switch.

Shows you what I know about electricity...
I talked to my bro in law who is an "expert"; that picture shows only the load side. I went on top and reversed the 2 wires going into the back of the motor. I had to cut and splice, but it works.

Yes.. all the FF's I have worked with have been set to blow "out" from the factory. I will admit, it's only 5-6 pods. I have switched out to the deluxe version with in/out/rain sensor/thermostat/power opener on 3 Pods and one SOB. All those were wired to "out" from the factory.

Hey... Furpod, what do you mean? With the fan blowing in?

Hmm.. well it's a DC motor.. should be able to just switch the wires, and it should run the other way.. I will admit, this is the first I have ever heard being wired that way.

I think if you open the lid, then remove the 4-6 screws that hold the bottom half housing in place, you should have room to work... As I remember the hot and ground come and go from the ceiling pretty straight forward.

I have the standard fantastic fan, without switch that allows you to blow in or out. Currently it is blowing in and I want it to blow out. I don't want to upgrade with the reversing switch; I just want 1 direction - OUT.
Is there and easy way to accomplish this? Reverse the wires? Turn the fan blade over?
Thanks in advance,
Bob
